Rev. Dr. Russell Frahm
Rev. Dr. Russell Frahm has been a Pastor at Faith Lutheran Church since 1988. He received the Masters of Divinity degree from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Christian Counseling from Covington Theological Seminary in Rossville, Georgia. Pastor Frahm’s vision for ministry is to help other people, whether members of the church or not. The church helps people in financial need, those who need food or clothes, those who need counseling, those who need to know God’s love in Christ. Faith Lutheran Church wants to be known as a caring church, being a light in a dark world.
During his ministry at Faith Lutheran Church a group home for the mentally challenged was built on the church property known as the Reaves Home, a retirement community was built on North Merritt Island called the Cedar Creek Life Center, a Day Care center was built, a youth house was purchased and remodeled for youth ministry and the Sanctuary was built.
He is married to Karen, one of the music leaders at Faith. They have four children and seven grandchildren.
Director of Christian Education (DCE)
Josh earned his B.A. in Psychology, and DCE Certification from Concordia University, Nebraska. Before starting at Faith Lutheran, he served as a DCE for five years at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Boonville, MO with a focus on Youth Ministry. His dream is to help people grow in their confidence in faith and knowledge of God's Word. He loves helping parents pass their faith on to their children.
Josh enjoys spending time with his wife and children, reading, long walks on the beach and sitting next to a fire. His goal in life is to be the World's Okayest Dad to his wonderful children.
Kristi has been our secretary for 11 years and has been a member of Faith since 1996. She has previously worked in the fields of hospital pharmacy and finance. Some of her hobbies include boating, gardening, and spending time with her pets. You can be sure to always find an episode of Star Trek playing at her home.
8:00 am Worship Leader
Karen has been the full-time music director at Faith since 1996 and now serves as the 8 am Worship Leader. She studied Music Education at FSU before meeting her husband, Pastor Frahm. She leads a Women's Bible Study and helps with Preschool Music.
Pastor and Karen have four children - Matt, Philip, Stephen, Judith - and six grandchildren. She enjoys healthy living, embroidery, composing Scripture songs, and spending time with her family.
10:30 am Worship Leader
Julie Skinner graduated from Wheaton College with a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance and from Regent University with a Master of Arts degree in Practical Theology of Worship. She grew up in the church as a pastor’s daughter and has worked for the church most of her adult life.
Julie has been a part of our staff since 2015 and continues to lead and serve as the worship leader for the 10:30 am service. She is also a music teacher at Indian Harbour Montessori, wife to Steven, and mom to two cute children, Evan and Emily.
Marv worked in the aerospace business for over 40 years as an Aerospace Engineer. He retired from active duty in the US Air Force in 1993 after 26 years and retired from Millennium Engineering in 2014 . His last job was as the Program Manager for one of the KSC ground systems support contracts As Sexton, Marv performs routine maintenance and minor repairs for the Church, maintains records and supplies for all of the buildings and grounds, coordinates major repairs and upgrades with the Trustees, and performs other tasks as requested by the Church and School staff.
Marv married Donna in 1983 and they have four children and five grandchildren. Two of the grandchildren, Shawn and Evan, live in Rockledge and attend Faith Lutheran several times a month. Marv and Donna have been members of Faith Lutheran for almost 20 years.
Ms. Lisa has been a lifelong Brevard resident, having grown up in Rockledge and moving to the “Island” 31 years ago. She is married with two grown daughters and three grandsons. She has been in the early childhood field for 18 years. She has worked with all age groups and has been the Director at Faith Lutheran since the beginning of October 2017. She had previously been the Director at Grace Lutheran Preschool for 8 years and the three year old teacher for two years. Ms. Lisa has earned her A.S. in Early Childhood Education at Eastern Florida State College. She has her Florida Child Care Professional Credential (FCCPC), all of the required VPK certifications required by the Florida Department of Education, and also holds a Florida Child Care & Education Program Director Credential with a VPK endorsement. When she is not with the children of Faith Lutheran, she enjoys spending time with her grandsons, as well as boating with her husband and family.
